PCBs Polychlorinated Biphenyls Testing
PCBs are mixtures of chlorinated compounds produced to form oily liquids or solids. PCBs were used within both closed systems and open systems within buildings and machinery. PCBs are extremely durable and are not easily broken down, materials containing PCBs can release their chemicals into non PCB materials over time, including the ground. The requirement to ascertain whether a given material contains PCBs is of particular importance to those involved in the redevelopment of industrial and commercial sites, so as such materials can be safely remove within the correct waste stream prior to general demolition of the site. EnviroHive are able to test for PCBs in the following building materials:
- Hydraulic and Lubricating fluids and greases
- Within Capacitors
- Sealants, Mastics & Adhesives
Sampling of material suspected of containing PCBs is taken to confirm the presence of PCBs and quantities. EnviroHive Ltd undertakes material testing and surveying for PCBs within Industrial, Commercial and Residential premises.
We undertake asbestos surveys as directed by UK legislation. We provide Management Asbestos Surveys & Refurbishment/Demolition Asbestos Surveys for all residential properties, commercial properties & industrial properties.
